I paced too much, should have just gone for it.
I tested single leg strength before this workout:
8x15# per leg with 12"
8x25# per leg with 12:
8x35# per leg with 12:
8x40# per leg with 14" - felt as though it was more difficult with the left leg in front
Split squats should be 33% bodyweight per hand. By rounding up to 120# bodyweight I would need 40# per hand.
